5 Apt Materials for Staircases!

A structural element to help navigate level differences in a space, a Staircase is a ubiquitous part in one’s environment. From a practical and functional Straight stairway to an elegant curved staircase that serves as a focal point, this element can be embellished with very many materials.

Tread, Riser, Balustrade and Handrail are the basic parts of a Staircase that can be constructed or finished with different materials. A combination of materials for the above elements make for an elegant and functional stairway best suited for its environs.

-       A classic finishing material for treads and risers. Optimal for rough usage and easy maintenance.

-       Susceptible to humidity and extreme temperatures, Wood requires regular maintenance and is expensive.
